The Australian Wool Industries Secretariat provides administrative support to Wool Industries Australia (formerly Federation of Australian Wool Organisations - FAWO).  

Wool Industries Australia provides Australia's membership of the Australian National Committee of the International Wool Textile Organisation.  

With virtually all industry sectors as members, WIA can also be regarded as the peak industry body in Australia and is used for addressing major local wool industry issues.
